School of Athens Painting

I believe that teaching must be an ever-changing process. Students learn in a variety of ways, and therefore information must be presented to specifically meet their needs.

I intend to do this by including Universal Lesson Design in my teaching practices. What UDL entails, is differentiated learning.

This teaching methodology encourages lesson designs that meet a students' visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and social needs.

When I was a student in the social studies classroom, I was engaged in learning through enthusiastic teachers.

I hope to emmulate the excitement of my previous educators, and promote a desire to learn for my students. I also enjoy establishing relationships and meeting new people.

Exploring the many walks of life that students come from is very meaningful to me. I believe that we can learn a lot from an individual's life experiences. This suggests that we all have something important to offer to our peers.

With that being said, I hope to use these life experiences to shape new perspectives and further explore history.
