Welcome! My name is Janelle Burgos and I am an aspiring educator and scientist, looking for knowledge and experience both in the classroom and the lab. I study Biology and Adolescent Education at SUNY Plattsburgh, minoring in Chemistry and Theatre, which has provided me with a competitive and professional skill set in various elements.

I am currently the Chair of the Student Committee on Teaching Excellence, a student branch of the SUNY Plattsburgh Center for Teaching Excellence, in which I direct and manage various members in activities to promote positive and friutful student-faculty relations through a variety of programs (Student Ambassadors) and projects (Thank-A-Teacher).

Throughout my time so far at SUNY Plattsburgh, I have dedicated some of my student life to the arts, most specifically, studying theatre, vocals, and orchestral violin. As an arts lover since birth, contining my passion and contribution in these subjects has been a priority - making sure that no matter how busy my schedule was, I made time.

In doing so, I am sure to make my academia a priority as well, refusing to compromise my studies. I maintain immaculate grades and I apply myself to every class and task I undertake. My goal is to one day take my broad knowledge and translate it into a warm, cultivating, and inclusive classroom, where I can use both science and the arts to influence my students to be their very best.
