be honest, I always cringe when asked to write “about me”. What
can I can tell you about myself that truly gives a new dimension to
this screen filled with words, your impression of who I am? I
could bore you with trivial matters: I don't like crunchy
pretzels. I am almost always barefoot. I am passionate
about taking pictures and capturing “moments”. With these
details, I could be anyone. |
My defining moment came on my journey to motherhood. My daughter, Amelia May, entered my life in April 2010. Nurturing this beautiful, brilliant soul and opening the world to Amelia has stretched my capabilities endlessly: my patience, the depths of my creativity, the desire to step back, slow down, and savor the simplest moments. Becoming a mother has shaped who I will be as a teacher. I am truly able to view the world through the eyes of a young child: their excitement, their innocence, their natural sense of wonder. I want to foster these qualities in children and watch them cultivate their own strengths and passions.
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.
