I think it is important for us to recognize what has truly made the American experiment successful and that is our ability to work together to accomplish goals. We need to develop this identity in our students because it is truly American to be willing to work hard with others to create.

Our education system needs to focus on sparking interest creating lifelong learners who are invested members of the community.

It is our wide array of subjects, clubs, activities and sports that empower our students and create curiosity. Students given freedom will surprise us and will invent new goals that can benefit our society through the creation from music to technology.

It is our role as educators to impart the lessons of our past while recognizing that we must conitiously work to address the changing needs that our society presents for students.
